Sergey Uvarov, Zavidovo Recreation Complex’s Chef, a member of the National Guild of Chefs, spoke at the Festival of Local Dishes of the Upper Volga Region. The event was held in the House of Russian Cuisine as part of the gastronomic section of the Tver Region Day program at the Russia International Exhibition and Forum.
Honored chefs of the region, together with students of the Tver College of Service and Tourism, prepared more than 500 portions of local dishes for a tasting session, which anyone could take part in.
During the master class, Sergey Uvarov revealed the secrets of cooking the legendary dish, the real pride of the Shosha restaurant – Brezhnev Sausages. The famous delicacy of pork and game has been served for decades in the recreation complex according to the unique recipe of Leonid Ilyich's personal gamekeeper.
Also, the guests of the festival were able to taste the delicious pies and morsels of the Shosha restaurant at the tasting session.
Sergey Uvarov has been working in Zavidovo for more than 30 years. He is the Head of the Kitchen Department serving meals to numerous guests of the recreation complex, as well as manages the Shosha restaurant, with its menu celebrating the traditions of national cuisine.
