Summer Diplomatic Games will determine the strongest athletes among diplomats

The Zavidovo Recreation Complex (Tver Region, a branch of GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia) will host the XXIII Summer Diplomatic Games on August 27. The traditional sporting event is timed to coincide with the 65th Zavidovo Recreation Complex’s anniversary.

The event will be attended by heads and employees of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Russia, the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the GlavUpDK, famous Russian athletes and cultural figures.

The program of the Summer Diplomatic Games includes an opening ceremony, sports competitions, and a relay race.
Teams of diplomatic missions and international organizations will compete in eight sports (cross-country, futsal, volleyball, basketball, tennis, skeet shooting, fishing, billiards), as well as in the sports and entertainment relay race for the Jubilee Cup. 

Traditionally, Zavidovo offers an exciting cultural and entertaining program for the whole family. The Eating Thirst in Zavidovo Gastronomic Festival to be presented by participants of the Food Map of Russia federal project and a kite festival will add to the festive atmosphere of the day.

Media representatives are invited to cover the event. There will be a shuttle to the venue available for journalists.
